Course Overview

BOT – Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, 4 years 6 months(including internship of 6 months)

Bachelor in Occupational Therapy is an undergraduate 4 year 6 months program divided into 8 semesters with 6 months of internship. It is a much-in-demand global healthcare profession that trains in assessment and intervention, to recover, progress, or maintain meaningful activities, or occupations, of individuals, groups, or communities through therapy, exercise, and activities.

Course Objectives

The BOT program aims to:

Develop expertise in assessing and treating individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
Train students in therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' daily living and occupational skills.
Equip graduates with rehabilitation techniques and assistive technology applications.
Foster problem-solving, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making in patient care.
Promote hands-on learning through clinical training and a six-month internship.
Prepare students for diverse roles in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community healthcare.
Encourage research, innovation, and lifelong learning in occupational therapy.

Eligibility

Must be over 17 years of age as of the Current academic year-end.
Passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) or its equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and one of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology, or Biology.
